MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Membership in the National Capital Area Locksmith Institute (NCALI) is available to individuals who meet the Institute's eligibility requirements.

Student Membership

Candidates for Student Membership must be currently enrolled in the locksmith course at Prince George's Community College (PGCC).

Regular Membership

Candidates for Regular Membership must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Be a former student who completed the locksmith course at PGCC;

  • Be actively working as a locksmith or as an owner or member of a locksmith company;

  • Be actively working as a manufacturer's or distributor's representative; or

  • Be a former or retired locksmith or hardware-industry owner, representative, or employee.

Background Screening

All membership candidates must successfully complete a background screening. To obtain the required forms, contact trades@pgcc.com.

The background-screening fee is $85.00. Upon successful completion of the screening, the candidate becomes eligible for NCALI membership, and the $85.00 screening fee covers the candidate's membership dues for the current membership year.

After Your Screening Is Approved

Once your eligibility and background screening have been confirmed, NCALI will provide instructions for completing your membership and establishing access to the NCALI Member Area.
