MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
To become a member of the National Capital Area Locksmith Institute candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Student membership candidates must be currently enrolled in the locksmith course at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC).
Regular membership candidates must meet one of the following:
A former student who completed the locksmith course at PGCC;
Actively working as a locksmith or as an owner or member of a locksmithing company;
Actively working as a manufacturer’s or distributor’s representative; or
A former or retired locksmith or hardware industry owner/representative/employee.
All candidates must pass a background check. To obtain the necessary forms please email trades@pgcc.com.
The fee for the background screening is $85.00.
Once a candidate passes screening they will be eligible to become a member of NCALI and the $85.00 screening fee will cover the current years membership dues.

To remain an active member a student membership must be upgraded to a regular membership after completion of the locksmithing course and the end of the current membership period.

Yes! We’re are a member supported organization and regularly add content that is produced by and for the sole benefit of active members.

Memberships is for a one year period beginning January 1 and ending December 31 of each year.. Memberships do not renew automatically.
